Ever wondered how will a day come out as without a watch on your wrist?? Imagine spending a day long without that timer by your side wouldn’t it be damn difficult for all of us. Office goers, doctors, teachers and all professionals, households will go mismanaged. Watches play a very important role in our lives though they might be that big in size but their importance is definitely bigger. Watches today are a world wide necessity. Watches are a craze for age groups. Businessmen, sportspersons, professionals, students, youngsters everyone has a different choice for the time teller. And that is the reason why there is a broad range of watches in the market.

Watches are of various types. They can be widely categorized on the basis of their utility and the cost as well which determines the features and functions available on the watch. The price ranges start from $2.00 or $3.00 and goes way up to thousands of dollars.

Various types of Watches

LCD WATCHES- these watches Rae quite expensive and not that common. LCD watches have a liquid crystal display for showing the time. For viewing the time there is a button affixed which needs to be pushed for time showing and a special feature present is the diode that emits light. The numbers and digits in the display are usually red in color.

ANALOG WATCHES- an analog watch or a better known as a daily use watch is the one which makes of hands for time telling. Ordinarily there are two hands in analog watch namely minute hand and second hand i.e. which tells us minutes time and the other which directs the seconds passed. Though there are some watches in which there are more than two hands or the second hand may be absent. The digital watches which are made in the analog pattern use numerals to direct the time which is quite popular among the people.

QUARTZ WATCHES- next we come to the quartz watches are a bit different than the above two because they are operated by batteries. Quartz watches contain the quartz crystal which pulsates at an unwavering rate of recurrence. This pulsation regulates time and thereby it replaces the need for a mechanical operation. Quartz watches are different and very uncommon and hence are gaining an increasing popularity.

These are the main three types of watches which are brought into use more often than others. Then there are also watches based for military uses, underwater expeditions, for divers, for use by navy personnel’s , sports persons etc. these are specially designed watches which have some unique features for the purpose. There are certain watches which are mechanically designed and have gears and strings fixed in them. The gears are operated moving a spring connected within the watch. Watches as such have a market for themselves where one can easily get any kind of watch and of any cost as well. Be it an ordinary watch or a jewelry designed watch with gems and precious stones and metals to those meant for official usage.

Your choices may end up but the watches variety may never end as there are so many that one whole life is also less to try out all of them even if you change your watch everyday!!
